The Scoop

My History Thus Far:

  • May 2005 – Met my sweetheart
  • September 2007 – Married
  • January 2009 – Decided that maybe kids would be nice.  Not trying, but considering.  On BC.
  • May 2009 – Off BC, periods irregular
  • May-Dec 2009 – Break due to health reasons
  • January 2010 – Started actively trying
  • March 2010 – Started charting, periods irregular (30 – 50 days), but temps and OPKs show ovulation
  • June 2010 – Talk to family doctor about concerns.  Sent for blood work and ultrasound.
  • July 2010 – PCOS diagnosis, referred to a RE
  • October 2010 – First appointment with RE, asked to come back CD3 to begin testing.
  • November 2010 – Monitored cycle begins.  Antral follicle count: 20 total.  CD 3- 20 – no follicle growth.
    Nurse suggests testing ends and a follow up with doctor will be scheduled, for February.
    CD 29 – ovulation (gee, thanks, ovaries, I love you too).
  • February 2011 – Waiting on appointment with RE
    Started this blog to help maintain my rapidly diminishing sanity.
  • February 21st 2011 – Appointment with RE – Mostly good news: Normal Sperm count, tubes clear, waiting for CD1 to begin Femara with Timed Intercourse.  Put on meds for hypothyroidism.
  • March 3rd, 2011 – CD1
  • March 5th-8th 2011 – Femara
  • March 21st 2011 – Ovulation! CD 19!
  • April 7th 2011 – CD 1
  • April 9th-13th 2011 – Femara
  • April 22nd 2011 – Positive OPK, LH surge confirmed by bloodwork.  Largest follicle 12mm.  HCG trigger.
  • April 23nd 2011 – Ovulation! CD 17
  • April 24th 2011 – Ovulation confirmed through ultrasound.  12mm follicle is gone.
  • May 4th 2011 – 13dpo – BFP
  • May 7th 2011 – Blood test confirmation – Beta 151.8
  • May 9th 2011 – Beta 336
  • May 20th 2011 – First ultrasound, measuring 4 days behind – 5w2d, hearbeat of 72, EDD: January 18, 2012
  • May 28th 2011 – Beta 68835
  • July 5th 2011 – 12 Week ultrasound for IPS
  • July 16th-17th – Sudden massive bleeding, slows down to spotting
  • July 18th 2011 – Emergency ultrasound, everything is fine, spotting continues
  • August 9th 2011 – Ultrasound for fibroids, consultation with Dr. Hellooo Nurse
  • August 25th 2011 – Ultrasound for Anatomy Scan – all normal
